Background

Riders In The Sky (RITS) was formed after a local man Lee Baker was killed on 8th November 2010.

Lee was dedicated to supporting charities and took part in many activities to raise money for charity: from sky dives to naked calendars. After his death, RITS Day was formed and they hold an annual event in his memory, raising money for charity and continuing his legacy.

One of Lee’s great loves was motorcycles and this was how those who went on to form the RITS group had met him. An annual motorcycle ride out around some of his favourite roads and a family fun day gave the opportunity to all who knew him to get together and enjoy the day, whilst raising money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Process

RITS wanted to update their logo which they planned to use on their website, socials and advertising/promotional items. After meeting with them, we felt we could help to raise their profile and improve recognition, and in turn support Dorest and Somerset Air Ambulance.

We set about designing an identity that would not only work on the web and print, but also on their merchandising, vinyl banners and gazebos.

As time went on, we became more involved with the charity, and couldn’t resist creating designs for additional items. It all came together, and on the RITS day the charity had attracted four times the amount of people in previous years, their merchandise had entirely sold out and they raised an impressive amount of money.

A Great result for everyone involved.
